By using sensory materials to support learning, students will have fun learning letters and numbers, as well as to support attention during instruction. We incorporate sensory activities daily in instruction, including in reading and math centers, to help calm down during a stressfull moment, and to help students focus on classwork. By donating to our project, you will be helping to provide new, engaging, and exciting sensory activities, as well as keep students focused and calm, to promote hands-on learning and tools to improve student engagement and focus for all learners. Students will be able to explore, practice, and grow their letter and number skills with hands-on sensory activities during reading and math center work. They will also be able to use sensory tools during group lessons and maintain focus on their work without focus becoming an overwhelming concern. When students can focus on the skill being taught and not having difficulty focusing, they will be able to soar and accomplish their goals.
