The books I am requesting are essential for the development and encouragement of my students' literacy skills. My students enjoy reading novels of all genres, from graphic novels to nonfiction. It encourages my students to engage in and practice important reading habits while buddy reading, silent reading, or whisper reading. Although my students cannot physically travel far and wide, they can aspire to discover the wildest adventures through their love for literature. The list of novels they love to see in our classroom is what excites them to participate in the stories of some of the best authors. It is inspiring to see my students' eyes brighten when they get to read some of their most desired books. By encouraging my students to read daily and find books they enjoy, they will be embarking on a new journey towards higher-order thinking, academic collaboration, and building their writing toolkit.
