Most of our day is spent on the floor. Carpet time is implemented to keep students close and encourage learning by being a part of the lesson and conversation. It is important that students have a comfy spot to sit and that there is adequate space between children. Getting a new classroom rug that will better suit my firsties will help foster learning and participation by minimizing the constant distractions we are currently facing with a rug that is far too small for six to seven year olds.

About my class
