Hola! Konnichiwa! Jumbo! I am a first grade bilingual/ESL teacher who works in Chicago, IL. My students are a joyful mixture of half Spanish bilingual from countries all over Latin America and a variety of other backgrounds. Throughout the school year my students help lead classroom discussions through their own cultural experiences and connections to their native languages. They learn a since of community and the importance of cooperative learning. We truly embrace our multicultural community and learn together about other own cultural identities and other cultures throughout the world.
