My students need books and Cd's so that they can explore the world around them and learn to be fluent readers. Research has shown that children become fluent readers by listening to a fluent reader. Many of the students in my school do not have access to books at home. By providing them with books and Cd's my students will have the opportunity to hear fluent readers as they explore the world through literature.
