Hi, my name is Ms. Reben and I am a middle school special education teacher. I am currently teaching 8th grade English and 6-8th grade Science. Coming back to school after being at home for a year and learning through a computer screen, I aim to create an environment where each student has the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. For English and science classes, it can be difficult for students to simply read textbooks. Having posters as visual aids helps them understand the topics better. I am asking for multiple posters that will help my students with the curriculum. For example, the human body posters will be great illustrations for when we learn about the systems of the human body. The grammar posters will be a helpful visual when working on their writing. If they forget what a noun is, they'll be able to look over at that specific poster for reference. We are currently learning about writing stories with the sandwich method - one of the posters I'm asking for is a visual of that method, and seeing the picture helps them conceptualize it better in their head, helping them overall with their writing. I am also asking for a few supplies we need in our great classroom. Disinfecting wipes will help keep out classroom safe and clean, while the posters will be a much needed supplies for in class projects. I look forward to using visual supplements to further their understanding of the topic at hand.
