The book I am seeking for the Asian Culture Club is called Interior Chinatown by Charles Yu. It includes real-life examples of issues that our Asian students have faced. It is a great coming of age story for my high school age students. to read The representation within and relatability of the book will help my Asian-American students understand discrimination, the history of US immigration, and the model minority myth. This book will help normalize my students' feelings and strengthen our community as a whole. Our group learning will help inform conversations, excursions, and events!
