The tables I am requesting will help me bring more exiting, hands-on science experiments to my students in the hopes that at least one student will be inspired to pursue a career in the sciences. Currently, my students sit at individual, slide in desks that have seen better days. The desks make doing group work and experiments difficult and they take up a great deal of valuable space in the classroom that could be used for other science equipment. By having students work in groups, they are learning valuable communication skills and gaining essential corporation experience. In addition to the relevant benefits of good social skills, the experience of doing experiments in a setting that is more geared to science, will only excite them more about science.
