Sometimes asking a kid to sit still takes all their brain power. If that happens then there's no brain power left for learning. Having a seat with movement options built right in can help a student wiggle all that they need to in order to focus on the learning task at hand. Wiggle chairs and bouncy bands will allow me to give them an option that helps them stay on task and fulfill a very real movement need. This kind of seating keeps kids in the classroom and participating instead of needing to leave because of a sensory issue.
