The writing notebooks and folders I am requesting will be used during our writing block. Many of my first graders have not set foot inside of a classroom since preschool. Therefore, writing letters to words and words to sentences has been a challenge for them. Despite these challenges, my students are always excited to write and grow in their writing abilities. My students thrive on structure and give so much more when they are heard and given a place to share what they know. These materials will provide one cohesive system for storing their ideas as we go through the writing process- from brainstorming to the final product!
