The wiggle seats in this project will provide students with a discrete flexible seating option. When students come to my room they are experiencing elevated emotions and need help self-regulating. We work on coping skills that help them become more independent and successful academically. One of the ways students learn to regulate their emotions is through movement. These wiggle seats will allow them to move their bodies as they are seated. This movement will keep their minds calm and focused. With the uncertainty in the world around them, keeping students comfortable in school is my top priority.

About my class
