I had a couple kids actually getting frustrated with me today because I hadn't called their small group yet! They love the dry erase Elkonin boxes. Right now we are using the 3 sound side, but I love how the other side offers five spaces for when we learn blends and digraphs.\r\n The paddle dry erase boards are always a hit, whether I use them whole group or small group. Today we built a word and they were asked to try to pick and write a rhyming word for the other side. It was challenging , but there were no complaints because of the tools they got to use. I was hoping these materials would excite my kids and it really has!!
