My students utilize points sheets to monitor and correct their behaviors. These simple food items will be used as positive reinforcers when students earn a set minimum amount of points on the behavioral point system. Positive reinforcement has worked tremendously to reinforce the positive behaviors demonstrated by the students. They are always excited when they accomplish their goals. It also helps to send them home with a simple food source to ensure that they have something to eat. Some of my student families are struggling to put food on the table during the pandemic.
