My students collectively set a goal to read 5 million words or more this year. We are entering our 4th week of school and they have been doing a great job; however my students who don’t read on grade level are struggling because the books we have are too complex for them. By purchasing easy readers for my students, this will make my classroom library more diverse for students and all students will be able to meet their goal. Students will also take these books home to read on their spare time.

About my class
