Students often come to class either tired and/or hungry. Providing snacks for students who didn't eat breakfast and/or lunch will help them focus better on their work in class. Students who come hungry and tired are unfocused; before we can provide education, we must ensure they have had their basic needs met. I can see that when they have their basic needs met, they are able to focus better in class and have more energy to participate in class/group discussions. They are also able to go through the rest of the school day when they are provided the care they need.
