The Magna-Tiles, sand, and Theraputty that I am requesting for my students will help motivate my students to stay engaged with their learning. Most of my students find it challenging to stay focused in class. Being able to have something in their hand that they are able to squeeze helps them to remain on task. The students will be excited to have a variety of options that they can choose from. There are times where my students need a break and currently don't have anything to use during these breaks. Having fun and interesting choices for them to choose from will help them refocus and complete their work or activity. This year is especially important for students to have options for breaks as much of their day will be spent socially distancing and taking extra safety precautions. When there are fun and exciting options for their break, they will work hard to complete their tasks.
