After teaching Kindergarten for a handful of years, I have now accepted a job as a third-grade teacher! After discussing books and how powerful reading can be, my third-grade students asked me why we don't have a classroom library (our school library is also under construction, so they literally have no access to books of their choice while at school). The answer is simple...the only books I have to fill up a library are for Kindergarten students! That said, by creating this project I hope to receive any support in building my classroom library to build joy and love for reading into my classroom this year (and for years to come). I can already see their faces when they see the books sorted nicely on the shelves ready to be read!
