I am requesting board books my students can manipulate to inspire their love of reading. Students love to feel that they can care for and protect the materials in school. Our Pre-K students are still learning to navigate in a word outside their home, and having books that they can borrow to take home without running the risk of destroying them when used will boost the students' confidence and give them a sense of responsibility. The board books will allow the students to nurture a love of books and reading. Early reading skills develop language and help the students create a joyful connection with literature.
