I was a Pre-K teacher my entire teaching career. Taking a 3rd grade position is a huge professional jump that requires a lot of resources and my personal time outside of work hours. One of the items I am looking to purchase is flexible seating so my students can take charge of their learning. Choice of comfortable seating in a classroom has proven to increase engagement and focus as it opens the room to variety of learning styles. I am also asking for TPT gift cards so I could find creative and meaningful resources to help my students develop mathematical reasoning and English language skills. In addition, I'd like to buy some digital files for math, reading, and social studies created by other teachers so we could use them in Google Classroom and on the Promethean Board. I will also need storage bins to help me stay more efficient and organized throughout the school year so I could devote more time to professional development and self-care.
