STEM materials open a door into the world of engineering. Each piece is used to solve problems. My students will build and solve problems through a hands-on approach that is best met through manipulating items such as blocks, LEGO, and shapes. I look to challenge students through hands-on learning and fun activities that can be the fire they need to move into engineering. It will give them great future career possibilities. I have books that the students read in my class, but sometimes students need to do something before they totally buy into it. So hands-on activities will allow them to do, feel, and then learn.
