If I can get the Scholastic News & Science Spin magazines for my class this year it will give my students practice reading a variety of non-fiction materials. The best part is that there are great topics & colorful pictures throughout each of the weekly issues that we will receive each month. The students will really love reading the different articles about the fascinating world around them in a kid-friendly manner. Each week in class we'll have discussions & do various activities that go along with the different issues. Also, something that is great is that the kids will have access to all that the online component has to offer & it'll allow them to use it for distance learning if needed. The kids can watch short videos about each topic that week and they'll be able to play interactive learning games that go with each article.
