In our Speech and Language department, we have students who struggle with the rhythm and flow of their speech that causes them to stutter, which can be stressful for them. We also have students who’s production of speech sounds can be affected as well. The dental teeth care model will be perfect for showing tongue and dental placement to our kiddos to help with their production of speech sounds during therapy. Some of our students have trouble with reading, writing, or speaking aloud in class. Therefore, they show difficulties in using language strategically to communicate, think, and learn. As you can see we work with a variety of students with multiple deficits. The shoe shelf will help us keep therapy equipment and students work organized and easily accessible when providing therapy services in the clinic setting. The rolling cart will help us transition smoothly while transporting equipment and student work into a classroom setting when providing inclusion services. Speaking of student work; the laminator will help us keep our speech resources that we create for therapy in good condition. We want our students to enter into a well prepared environment, we want them to feel relaxed and not overwhelmed while targeting their speech goals and objectives. With your help, you can help us create a more organized and peaceful environment that will help them thrive in their communication and learning abilities.
