Mixing literacy activities into mathematics classes helps clarify concepts and can make mathematics more meaningful and exciting. Teachers can use different kinds of literature, including trade books and fiction. Fiction books with a mathematical theme provide information and captivate student interest when embedding cognitive learning in imaginative stories. It is found to be successful with young scholars.
