Having these resources in my classroom, my students will be able to make connections between concrete, representational and abstract concepts. These will help students continue to develop foundational skills. Teaching math using hands-on manipulatives, games, and books will help to engage my students and make learning new concepts relatable. We will be able to explore these concepts together in large groups with posters and different math books. During our small group flex-time, students will be able to use the dominos, math counters, and games to explore new ideas independently and grow. I will also be able to work with students one on one with the materials to help build independence with different skills and mathematical concepts.
