I would like to expand my collection to support equity, inclusion, and antiracism. These books will be displayed in the library and shared with classroom teachers in order to reach the maximum audience and potential for positive change. I will read and create lessons around the moral of the stories to assist in the teaching aspect of the specific story! These books will allow students the opportunity to see themselves represented in print, for others, these books will act as a gateway to understanding cultural diversities through the lens of a book. I look forward to seeing the bright and smiley faces of the littles I work with daily when they see their families represented in such rich text!
