Presently, our projector is over 12 years old. The image is poor, the color is washed, and the resolution is exceptionally low. At the moment, we have no technology director so we are unable to buy any replacement equipment. With this new projector, my students will not only have a new, higher resolution, but the connectivity allows our community to wirelessly connect our devices allowing students to more fluidly share their projects, results, and discoveries for all their peers. I had hoped to select a less expensive device, but options/availability was limited. With that said, this projector is going to be a starting point for more multimedia in the classroom - student movies/videos, video demonstrations, and instructional purposes. Approximately 80% of the jobs in New Hampshire require technology, and with this projector I am confident that it will enrich the lives of my students, as well as my peers and perhaps convince the community of technology's importance in modern schools.
