My preschool class plays an important role in the development of healthy social and emotional habits in my students. When children play with other children, they learn to cooperate, communicate and engage with their peers in a way that ensures they feel part of their young community. Our post-pandemic classroom looks a little different this year; students are more so parallel playing (imitating what a playmate is doing, not interacting with them directly) to follow COVID social distance and not sharing materials guidance. Play is the highest form of research; -Albert Einstein. This project provides my students with individual clipboards to write down their play plans. The poly spots will be used as floor marker for the children to stand on and safely dance, stretch, and exercise while social distancing from their classmates. The folders will be used to send homework home and house behavior logs. Thank you for helping my students have a safe and successful school year.
