As young learners, they need ways to express themselves through various sensory pathways. STEM kits and building manipulatives will allow my students to actively engage in play, while developing their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. These materials will also develop critical thinking skills through hands-on experimentation. STEM activities for kids are specifically designed to feel like a play experience. Data shows that when kids play and learn, that that knowledge sticks. Coming after a long year of distance learning, I can’t wait to provide my students with the tools they need in order to get their hands, and imaginations, moving!
