Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, many of my second graders lost out on learning how to read. They lost out on half of their kindergarten year and many of them spent their first-grade year online. The Reading Recovery book set that I am asking for will help me get my students on the journey to learn how to read and get real books into my students' hands. These books will help me provide guided reading lessons and teach students how to read in a small group setting. This will then allow me to focus on closing each individual student's learning gap. Reading is everywhere and getting students to read will help them improve in all subjects.

About my class
