Students have the opportunity to learn different subjects in many different ways. Coming up with a variety of ways to teach a certain subject can make learning easy as well as fun, depending on the topic. Making things hands-on adds to learning as well. Because my students are at an arts integration school, the music instruments and clay-based items will be a big help. The musical instruments will be used for counting beats in different types of music. I'm a musician in my other life and I will show how music rhythm requires counting skills. Also other school subjects touch on the five senses. The instruments will meet the hearing, sight, and touch categories on that front.Students can use the clay-based activities as instructed. The other items will add to the students' learning. Some of the things can be used in learning centers in classroom. The blocks can help with teamwork lessons and in math when the subject of 3-D shapes comes up. The hard drive will give me more room to save original music I may come up with on my computer
