In many public schools, 6th graders are the newest members of our middle school. Sadly due to the need to maximize test scores in math and English, these kids have experienced very little science before entering my class. Thus success in science is much harder for them. These kids are from a low economic area and usually do not have much exposure with science outside their schools. The items I am requesting are materials needed to give my students science experiences that will supplement my students work in science and help make the first STEM classes at my school to be successful, so future 6th graders can experience science in ways they have never experienced before. Thanks
