These books will be used in our classroom library, as well as for read alouds for instruction. It is important to me as a teacher to provide my students with real literature of people that look like them, and literature that is reflective of their lives and surroundings. I know that these books will help my students find their love of learning and of new words. Real books make a difference when learning to read. I hope that these books will benefit my students in a way that our curriculum can not.
