My students work hard each week to earn incentives for completing all of their tasks for the week. This includes sharing with their partners, and working in cooperative groups to reach an agreed upon answer. Students practice many discussion and problem solving techniques through discourse so it's always nice to be able to reward them with things they want or need. These skills can all be learned in their Speaking and Listening Standard (SL.3.1) and Social Studies Standards; SS3.2 - Asking and answering questions; SS3.9 - List and discuss individual, local, regional, or global problems.
