My school recently opened a preschool Autism unit, which lacks individualized materials for my students. My class is comprised of six students with Autism who have exceptional academic, behavioral, and emotional needs. I want to create an environment that is a safe and developmentally appropriate space to learn and grow. The materials in this project will provide my students with everyday skills, tools, and hands-on activities that will enhance their learning experience. Due to COVID-19, we are required to sanitize more frequently. The laminator will allow us to create and preserve individual task sheets, visuals boards, and schedules. We will utilize the gift card from Teachers Pay Teacher to gain access to resources from other seasoned teachers. The whiteboards will be used to enhance fine motor skills. COVID-19 has affected all students. However, I would like to use quality and effective supplies to create and ensure students receive the skills that were lost or unavailable over the past 18 months. Help me create a safe and healthy learning environment for students with diverse needs.
