Social-emotional learning is key in Kindergarten. Students need time to express themselves and interact with their peers. Having manipulatives, toys and supplies that may be familiar to them will provide opportunities for imaginative play. The kitchen equipment that is currently in my classroom is about 30 years old. The handles are broken, doors are scratched and dented. I would love to welcome the children into a classroom with inviting resources. Many of these students will be coming into a classroom for the first time. Let's make it a positive experience!
