The materials that I am requesting for my wonderful students will broaden their knowledge of team sports and introduce a new activity to our community. Badminton is a great activity that promotes team building, inclusion, cooperation, and lifelong physical and mental health. Not only will my students be learning about a new sport, but also practice basic skills such as striking with an implement and strategizing. Badminton will be beneficial to all of my students of different grade levels. Being exposed to different sports such as badminton will benefit students not only physically and mentally, but culturally as well. Having a variety of activities will help promote diversity amongst the students and school itself. Students should be able to try different things in order to figure out their hidden skills. Change does not happen overnight and it is a process, but having the badminton materials for my students would be the first step to success.
