My students need books that will make them feel accomplished and successful! These high-interest books will hook them into reading to develop their reading and language skills. These books will hold their interest and keep them reading in our classroom. By donating to our project, my students will be able to see themselves in the books requested. My students need to see themselves in books. They need to know that their stories matter and that they can accomplish their dreams! They need to know that they can be authors, poets, or singers—regardless of their race— and even if they once struggled to speak clearly.
