This project will help benefit the development of an SEL-STEAM Lab at Hutchinson Elementary. Students will be able to have hands-on experience with STEAM projects to help them become more proficient in STEAM subjects. Especially, this project will help 5th graders in understanding the basics of STEAM to prepare them for future challenging classes in 6th grade. Most importantly, students will gain STEAM exposure in school, as a filler for the lack of in-person field trips due to COVID-19. STEAM assignments will also be sent home with students so that they can further explore on their own, and to also encourage parents to become a part of their child's learning experience.
