Scholastic News magazines are an excellent source of information written specifically for each grade level in mind. One of the ultimate goals I have being a teacher is teaching students how to read and to love reading. When students love to read, they will read more. And the more they read, the better they get at it. For many years I have used Scholastic News magazines in my classroom and even when I have homeschooled my own children. It does not matter, whether my students in class or my own children, students are excited to see what new topic is on the front cover each week. Once I have grabbed their attention, then the love of reading begins. Scholastic news has relatable topics, interactive online activities, and smartboard presentations that kids are super excited about. Students are engaged each and every time. Scholastic news is also designed to give students of various reading levels the opportunity to be successful as well. It has a read aloud feature and easier reading level version.
