Students in my class, are considered to be behind schedule for the completion of Algebra I. I teach freshmen Algebra, and all of these students should have completed Algebra in middle school. Due to the pandemic, students who routinely struggle to learn math have had additional challenges because of lost of instructional time due to quarantines. Having fidgets available in my classroom helps reduce anxiety and stress while students learn Algebra. A significant amount of my students have educational plans in place for accommodations due to learning disabilities to include Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
