My students are amazing :) The majority of them come from economically disadvantaged homes, but they have the desire to improve themselves. Many of them would get lost in a larger public school; however, since our school is smaller, we are able to provide a more private school type learning environment. As a charter school, we do not receive as much funding as a regular public school and we do not have a real library. Not only do I teach Pre-AP 9th/10th and 12th, I also keep up with our books. We desperately need to update our make-shift library.
