Since returning to the building from Distance Learning I am trying to engage my students as much as possible with a variety of materials. In the clay studio we spend a lot of time working on meaningful art projects, getting to know one another better and increase their social skills by encouraging them to work together daily. However, it can be tricky sharing art materials. Right now a lot of time is spent creating art supply kits for students to use most common supplies on their own. My project is to get more materials into their hands that they can share which are easily wiped down and sanitized after each class. Our goal has been to stay safe and healthy and this project will support our efforts. I want my classroom to be a place where kids can always be themselves and work together to make beautiful art.
