At our school, we refer to our students as "student leaders" because they not only lead their educational journey but their mission is to be leaders in the community. While many things about leadership can be taught, great leaders are made through doing. I am ordering mobile payment devices, an accounting software program and some financial literacy workbooks and guides so they can put this into practice. I am both a math and business educator, and I believe that they can learn many life skills by putting what they learn into action. My hope is to use these resources for collaboration projects that reach out to the community, build business and financial skills, and help prepare these students for their future. I know that these resources will also help develop them as they move into high school.
