The watercolor paper was used to make a project where students painted a place they felt at home. Some painted their bedrooms, some painted the beach, and some even painted the school! \r\n\r\nFor our end of year project, students will get to choose whether they want to paint a baseball cap or a tote bag. These items can be used for themselves, or given as a gift since we will finish up this project around the holiday season. Students who don't normally interact are now talking, laughing, and working together naturally. One moment that stood out was when a very quiet student ended up leading her group through a strategy game, and her classmates were genuinely listening to her. The snacks have also been incredibly helpful on long work days, giving students energy and comfort, especially for those who come to school hungry. These resources have helped strengthen relationships, boost engagement, and make our classroom a place students look forward to being in. Next, we'll be using some of the games to review math concepts in a fun and interactive way.
