My class is composed of students with various disabilities, including Autism, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Speech and Language Impairments, Learning Disabilities, and a variety of emotional disorders. Many are military-affiliated students that also deal with lots of changes and parent deployments. Fidget tools such as stress balls, pop-it's, and resistance bands help all students, but especially those with Autism and ADHD relieve stress and anxiety and improve focusing. These simple materials will impact my students both academically and emotionally and allow them to manage their stress and anxiety to help them achieve their goals.
