Thanks to you, my students now have access to resources that encourage pride in their learning environment and their creativity. This winter, we primarily used the art items during indoor recess, especially on days when the weather was too cold for outdoor play. During this time, students clean their desks with disinfecting wipes and organize their areas before beginning their projects. One special activity involved students creating something meaningful with play-dough to share with their moms, which helped them practice creativity, fine motor skills, and responsibility.\r\nWhen my students were first shown the materials, the excitement was immediate. Students were thrilled to see the art supplies and play-dough and couldn't wait to begin. Indoor recess quickly became a favorite part of the day, as students stayed engaged and calm while creating. It was touching to observe their pride in their play-dough creations and their excitement about what they made.\r\nAs we move forward, students will continue using these resources during indoor recess to work on creative projects that connect to our classroom lessons. One upcoming project involves making friendship bracelets to encourage kindness, teamwork, and positive social connections among students. These activities promote self-expression, cleanliness, and collaboration, even during the long winter months. Your generosity has made a meaningful and lasting impact on my students, and we are truly grateful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1755737057801,"projectUrl":"project/cleanliness-and-arts/9565612/","projectTitle":"Cleanliness and Arts","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. SANDRICE SMITH","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10055806_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1749794893331","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10055806"},{"teacherId":10115266,"projectId":9544971,"letterContent":"We are very grateful for the class supplies we received from our Anchored in Excellence project. With the new materials, my students now have consistent access to high-quality writing tools that support every part of the writing process—from drafting to revising to publishing. They are more motivated, more organized, and more confident when approaching written assignments.\r\n\r\nThese resources have transformed our writing block. Students are eagerly using their pencils, paper, and printed organizers to plan stories, practice grammar skills, respond to texts, and publish final pieces they are proud of. The materials have also helped my writers who need extra support; having structured, accessible tools empowers them to stay engaged and complete work with increased independence.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, my classroom feels more equipped, more creative, and more student-centered. My students feel valued because someone invested in their learning, and they are excited to keep writing, creating, and growing.
