We are a class of twenty-eight fabulous fifth graders with diverse backgrounds. Even through students come from different backgrounds they share a common desire for academic and social success. We are learning to help our fellow classmates so all us can be successful. With Common Core implemented fully this year, the rigor has increased in my classroom and I push my students to reach even higher goals in their learning. We are in a school district that continues to maintain high academic achievement, but since we are considered a rural school we receive low funding from the state. We use grants and donations to try to keep our technology up to date in our school. At our school, we currently do not have the funds for a one-to-one device and this will bring us one step closer to that goal.
