I will be teaching math and science. These items will supplement the curriculum by adding tactile reinforcement of what students are learning. By providing students with multiple modalities for engaging in the curriculum, they will move towards IEP goal mastery. These new supplies will provide a memorable hands-on experiences to support their learning. My students require multiple modalities in order to connect with and process new content. Exposure to manipulatives will improve their ability to connect with lessons. Often, without tangible and relevant aids, students will not remember lessons taught in previous weeks.
