As many of my students are learning to read, listening to books is not only a way to model fluent reading but also becomes a key way to engage in vocabulary acquisition, apply comprehension strategies and to gain a love for reading. Please help me bring that magic of a story to my students! A reading center gives opportunity for students to participate in a small group read aloud rotation while freeing up the teacher to give focused time to small groups of students who need direct instruction in reading.
