As we're learning that isolated, traditional workplaces are less effective and creative, the same is being found about classrooms! The days of desks in rows and complete silence are far in the past and don't prepare students for the "Google-esqe" work environments of our era. My belief is that when students feel comfortable and learn to collaborate within learning groups, they will not only learn more content, but more about how the world works and how they can appropriately and successful engage with others. In supporting my classroom, you are helping to support the mission of giving students a sense of freedom, joy, and engagement throughout their classroom day.
